OUR MINISTRIES
We want you to feel connected at Temple of Prayer Family Worship Cathedral! That happens as you get to know the people and the staff at the church; but, beyond that, it happens as you find your place to serve the Lord and make a difference in the lives of others. We have various ministries in the church that exist to serve those who attend our church, but they also provide ways in which you can be a part of serving others. A small sampling of those ministries includes:
Women's Ministry
The Women's Ministry at Temple of Prayer is for all women - no matter your age, background or lifestyle. We want to meet ladies right where they are and come along side them - encouraging, supporting, praying and equipping them in their journey with God. We want to grow our faith and demonstrate His love and grace through our lives and relationships. We want deeper, Christ-centered relationships with each other through women's small groups, prayer meetings, fellowships and mentoring. We want to encourage and equip women to faithfully and fully use their God-given gifts to glorify God. As we worship and serve the Lord together, we want every woman to feel loved and accepted for who she is in Christ so that she is transformed and empowered to live out Christ's love and grace.
Men's Ministry
The Men’s Ministry develops men in Christian living to make an eternal impact for this generation and those to come. We accomplish this mission through Bible study, discipleship groups, evangelism training, leadership development, accountability groups, mentoring, retreats, mission trips and special events. In today’s culture, it’s increasingly important for men to honor God with their hearts and lives.
Youth & Young Adult Ministry
The Youth & Young Adult MInistry is to build disciples for Christ, equipping them to share their faith with others. The mission of discipleship in relational environments is the key component of the youth ministry.
Worship & Creative Arts Ministry
The Worship and Creative Arts department equips and shepherd our Worship and Creative Arts leaders, and with the pastor, to guide and support the worship planning process. The ultimate goal is to support the vision of our church through the worship experience at each individual service.
The Bishop's Heart & Pastoral Support Ministry
The Pastor’s Aide Ministry is committed to providing necessary support to the Pastor and the first family within the church. We show and provide love, prayers, encouragement, strength, financial support, and gratitude for his labor in the ministry.
We also show other actions of love, by hosting special events (Pastor's Appreciation) for the Pastor.
Missions & Outreach Ministry
The purpose of the Missions & Outreach Ministry is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone we meet; through personal witnessing, and the sharing the Word of God. To provide spiritual, educational, and social events and activities throughout the community that will promote Godly relationships. To equip individuals to serve one another; first within their families, communities, our nation, and throughout the world.
